If you like what you heard and want to meet a great group of guys, then come sing with us!
Our season runs from September to June, and we accept new members throughout the months of September and January (experienced singers may be able to join at other times—contact us for more information). If you are new to singing in a choir, it might be easier to join in September when the music is new to all of us. In addition, Malcolm Edwards, our director will spend some time discussing the basics of singing and reading choir music at the end of each rehearsal in September.
Recruitment Rehearsals This Fall
If you want to check out the CMC to see if it’s the group for you, please pop by one of the rehearsal dates listed below around 6:45. We’ll have someone at the door who will welcome you, introduce you to a few people, help you find a seat in your voice section, and let you experience singing with the group — no commitment. If you enjoy yourself and like what you hear, then we’ll sign you up as a member.
Our rehearsals that are open for drop-in members this Fall are:
- September 3
- September 10
- September 17
- September 24
Rehearsal Location (We've moved)
We rehearse on Tuesday evenings between 7:00 - 9:30 pm in the sanctuary at Scarboro United Church (134 Scarboro Avenue SW). Contact us for more information.
We rehearse on traditional territories of the Blackfoot and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nation. The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III. Respectfully, we acknowledge that we share the land as people of Treaty 7.
